A Smile, a Giggle, a Sigh… Sometimes the smallest things mean the most.

Often you never truly know the impact you have on another’s life.

Our Cookie Families try to put into words how Baking Memories 4 Kids has changed their lives forever.

“We would just like to thank you and your wonderful foundation for sending us on this AMAZING trip to Disney for our daughter Eva Grace!! It was an experience we will never forget!! I have enclosed a few pictures for you to use as you would like. This trip would not have been possible without the help and generosity from you guys. Eva Grace is now 32 months old and was diagnosed at 5 months old with Spinal Muscular Atrophy Type 1. It is a genetic, neuromuscular disease which affects her inability to sit, stand, crawl or walk. It is the leading genetic killer of children under the age of 2. Eva is our miracle child and was not expected to live to see her first birthday. We spent 4 long months in the pediatric ICU and were basically told that she would never come home. Eva surprised everyone and ultimately ended up with a tracheostomy and a feeding tube. She lives dependent on a ventilator 24 hours a day and requires around the clock nursing. Our daughter Eva absolutely LOVES anything Disney, especially the princesses and fairies. She had the most amazing time on our trip which we never, ever thought she would live to see. Eva has an 8 year old brother Noah and we can’t even begin to explain to you just how much we enjoyed getting to experience the trip as a family. It was the most memorable time of our lives and it will forever be in our thoughts and hearts. We feel extremely honored to have been chosen by Baking Memories For Kids for making our dream come true!!”

I just wanted to say thank you for the wonderful vacation that Baking Memories 4 Kids provided for my little boy Aidan, 5, and our family. Aidan was diagnosed with Acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) on July 18th, 2012. Despite this diagnosis, we feel so blessed because our little boy continues to do very well. Aidan has been in remission since one month after his treatment began. This is great news, but as you know, dealing with cancer is all encompassing. Prior to you sending our family to Florida, we had not had a family vacation in over five years. Aidan’s continued good health inspires us, but every day we deal with the fear of the unknown. The vacation in Florida allowed our family to really focus on one another, and enjoy spending time together without thoughts of cancer and chemo, spinal taps and complications. Aidan went to Sea World and loved the dolphins. He saw Mickey and Minnie at Disney, and went on rides and played at Give Kids the World Village. In one week, you gave Aidan and our family memories that will last us a lifetime. I am struggling to find the right words to express how much this week meant to our family, because there just aren’t enough. Thank you, Frank, for your selflessness and kindness. Thank you for taking your own personal tragedy and refusing to be beaten. Thank you for all of the good that you have brought into the lives of children with life threatening illnesses. Your courage and kindness have been an inspiration to our whole family, and to all others who have been blessed to have crossed your path. You are proof that miracles do happen, every day, indeed.”

A lot of people made this trip happen. It went so smoothly it was almost like magic. But the real magic is in the big hearts these people have. They didn’t sit and say “wouldn’t it be nice to do something”. They proactively came together and MADE things happen. From the cookies that were lovingly made with my child in mind to the gifts that magically appeared every day at the village. I don’t think there are enough words to express our families depth of gratitude for every nice thing that was done for us. Thank you seems so very inadequate. But everyone of you blessed us this past week in a very special way. I cried a lot (happy tears so all good!). The caring touched our hearts & made us feel very cherished.”

“I want to stop and take the time to thank you for being so selfless. I know that the path that has led you to where you are now in your life has been a long one. Daily life can take its toll on anyone but if you add a life threatening situation it puts it over the top. You found a positive side to the life you can now live and for that my family as well as many others are beyond grateful. When you reached out to me you asked me to send you a quote to sum up Zane’s Disney adventure. I have thought about it over the course of months since then and there are no words to describe the happiness you feel when you see the excitement and joy on your child’s face when they see something amazing. Staying at Give Kids the World is exactly what is says…They truly are giving kids the world. From the time you walk under the archway and enter, the pain of the daily life seems to stop existing. All the things that you feel you couldn’t do melt away. At Give Kids the World Zane never stopped smiling. For my husband and I that in its self makes all the tears and pain that we see and feel for him everyday all worth. You,Frank gave Zane happiness he will never forget in his life. You gave him the opportunity to fill his heart with love and something magical. Zane, along with his two sisters, one of which suffers from the same life threatening disorder as himself, enjoyed swimming and eating icecream as much as they could possibly tolerate. Zane’s most favorite thing is dinosaurs. On one of our fun filled days we were walking through the Jurassic Park themed park and a man came up to Zane and seen he wore a Give Kids the World badge. The told us to stay right there he had something special for Zane. When he returned he told us to follow him, he took us behind the exhibit and Zane found a surprise waiting for him! The man was holding a baby triceratops! It was moving and making noises! It was amazing! The look on Zane’s face was nothing I have ever seen. The amount of joy was so much for him, his eyes filled up with tears and he did not know what to say or do. I just stared at my son and enjoyed his happiness. There are no words for what you feel inside your heart. Baking Memories 4 Kids is more than an organization that sends families on a vacation for a break from reality. For me its a man that has seen pain first hand and has put love and dedication into something that changes lives. Frank, I could never give you back what you have given Zane and our family. Memories that we will have forever. Thank you for Baking Memories 4 Kids and your dedication.”
